As the name suggests, the Cuban cichlid is native to Cuba. It is considered a beautiful cichlid and it grows quite big.

It has a whitish base with gray/black spots and stripes.

Temperament / Behavior:
Semi aggressive cichlid, who enjoys the company of its own species. The smaller the tank the more aggressive this species tends to be, its always good to add lots of rocks, plants and driftwood for territorial reasons.

Compatible Tank Mates:
If given plenty of room, and places to shelter from more dominant fishes, Cubans can be housed with other robust Central American cichlids, such as Vieja.
